One thing that I lacked as a composer was to stretch out my ideas. So I wrote Rat Tales; a string trio to practice the idea of inhabiting an idea and stretching it out to a minute. I wrote seven movements to this.

A Fanfare with an Exclamation Point
Interlochen Arts Academy asked each of the composers to write a fanfare to represent Interlochen and that would be played in the beginning of their tour. Unfortunately they did not like any of our pieces enough to say it represented the school.

Remember Me
This is a concert band piece that moves through 4 adjectives I feel that describe me; Imaginative, Jovial, Quirky, and Understanding. I wrote this for the Delone Catholic High School Band. They played it for me in March when I came back to my hometown. Nothing can amount to the feeling a composer experiences when they hear their own piece come alive.

Danza Melódic
In order to get into Interlochen Arts Academy I had to write two more compositions. This was one of them. This piece takes a spanish feel as it was inspired by Danzón No.2 by Artuto Marquez. This piece features the flute, oboe, clarinet, and piano

Panqueques Con Miel
This is my first composition I ever wrote. In the fall of 2009 I won the York Composition Competition. In receiving first place I had it orchestrated and 6 tickets to attend the event. I also entered this piece into the 2010-2011 MTNA Composition Competition and received state level.
